As part of the inaugural ADW 2024, we launched our first exhibition – Moments in Time by Kanat Studio x VidaSpace. Together we wanted to push the boundaries on how visitors would experience products in a traditional interiors showroom setting, we wanted to leave an effect on them and to inspire. Moments in Time was the result of this vision and our first of many collaborative exhibitions. Originally located in our Auckland Showroom and then later relocated to our Wellington Showroom.

At VidaSpace, we are passionate about sampling. Getting fast access to high quality samples is a key component in the design process, so from day dot we established our promises for our seamless free Sample Service. Starting in 2023, as part of our 6-star service brand promise, we re-evaluated our sampling and explored how it could be improved and in April 2024 we unveiled the new look & feel. Included in our new Sample Service is our multifunctional VidaBox, now seen in architectural libraries, offices, and homes nationwide.

In June we held our first Bloom WorkShop in the VidaSpace Wellington Showroom. A workshop event working with everlasting blooms, delving into the elements of floristry design that translate to interior design principles on a larger scale. Designers that joined us for the event created unique bouquets of dried flora, each showcasing their individual style and craft.

After launching our collaborative installation Moments in Time with Kanat Studio, we decided to create an immersive art experience together with London St Art Club and hosted a ‘Chalk & Cheese’ art WorkShop for clients, industry partners and friends. Incorporating the Moments in Time messaging - folding forms, framing, and immersion, the creative results were individualistic and inspiring.

We were thrilled when ArchiPro selected ‘Manukard Gard’ by Mason & Wales in collaboration with Cassells Green for their August Project of the Month. VidaSpace was honoured to create bespoke interior timber finishes for this project. Flooring in three custom formats, the staircase, wall lining, and veneer for joinery. With sustainability at the forefront of every selection for this remarkable project, we were proud to deliver exceptionally environmentally conscious finishes, and the result is spectacular.

By now you’ve probably heard, but in November we opened our doors in the South Island. Designed in Collaboration with Warren and Mahoney, our Christchurch Showroom project was a labour of love for 12 months and we are over the moon to finally share it with the world.

A magnificent grand opening event was in order for the unveiling of our Christchurch Showroom, and at the perfect time to kick off our annual VidaSpace Cocktails & Canapés season. Sharing this milestone with our South Island friends and collaborators was extremely special and made more memorable with speeches from our design collaborators Warren and Mahoney and Powersurge, who reflected on the project undertakings and design intent.

This year for Cocktails & Canapés in Auckland we collaborated with our friends at Autex Acoustics, who curated a unique exhibition of their ReForm™ range of recycled acoustic panels. The theme for the event was Endless Possibilities, and the evening was a fantastic way to connect with clients and friends alike to celebrate and reflect on the year that has been.

This year in the capital city, we thought it only fitting to display our VidaSpace x Kanat Studio exhibition, Moments in Time. The collaboration is centred around “framing moments” and bringing it to Wellington for a new audience to enjoy was a great end to our events season and to 2024.

2024 saw 8 new faces join the VidaSpace journey – that’s over 40% of the current team. We think this growth is certainly a reason to celebrate what has been an extraordinary year.

What a year, I think we can all agree! So the team can enjoy a well-deserved break, the VidaSpace Showrooms and offices will be closing midday on Friday 20th December.
We will be back and refreshed for another exciting year on 13th January 2025.
