Jade Residence

This architecturally significant '80s residence on Remuera ridge was renovated to preserve its original design features while updating the space for modern living. Focused on maintaining the unique architectural elements and integrating the client's vibrant personality, the concept drew inspiration from natural materials and a colour palette featuring mauve, pink, brown, and green, echoing an '80s theme.

The floor plan was largely preserved, with reconfigured living areas and functional spaces like the kitchen and laundry, featuring in-built joinery to elevate the functionality of the space. The redesign incorporates VidaSpace’s smoked Fendi Timber Flooring across the kitchen and living areas creating a seamless connection throughout.

The project involved restoring original features, and using materials like brass, wood, marble, and textiles to create a warm, textured environment. The result is a space that honours the home's history and the client's art collection.
