We met Natalie (Manager at London St Art Club) and Summer (Lead Instructor) last year when we connected and hosted some of their workshops at our Auckland Showroom.
Since then, they’ve been doing many one-off and three-week-long workshops at different locations, and they’re now based in Alberts Members Club in the CBD. They use different art techniques on their various workshops, suitable for anybody – regardless of experience or skills, making it a very fun way of exploring art making.
On the 30th of March this year, we organised an "Inverting Space" workshop in collaboration with the London St Art Club for some of our clients. We explored various exercises like blind drawing, using natural textures as a reference, and then using inspiration from architectural and interior compositions to paint over the wood “canvas” made from our Natural Allegro Smooth Veneer. Amongst the attendees, we had Warren and Mahoney, Monk Mackenzie, Ctrl Space, Wingates and Studio Studio.
The evening was accompanied by delicious catering from Catroux and Bluebells Cakery, wine from Wine Central, and our own VidaSpace x Hallertau craft beer.
