First opened in 1977, Peter’s of Kensington has become a Sydney institution, with their latest store opening in Sydney’s newest hot-spot, Barangaroo. Hospitality and Retail Designers, Design Portfolio, were engaged to bring the new store to life, selecting as part of their concept, Ivory Oak Twist herringbone Par-ky timber flooring.

As a retailer of the biggest and best brands, along with pride in customer service and attention to detail, the store design concept reflects the company’s desire to deliver a warm, friendly atmosphere and a pleasant shopping experience. Ivory Oak Twist herringbone was selected for the flooring throughout and compliments the beautiful pastel palette, with pops of colour from the stunning range of homewares, kitchenware, dinnerware and more.

The sleek herringbone floor compliments the retro style of the iconic Sydney retail store. The use of the brand pink and natural hues, coupled with the beautiful and frame-like wall patterns successfully portray the warmth and brand appeal Peter’s of Kensington.

The inviting directional floor pattern draws the eye and encourages onlookers into the store. The traditional herringbone pattern is a timeless design that fits perfectly into the modern-retro theme of the brand.
