When we set out to find the perfect brand partner to supply boutique fragrances for our showrooms, offices, and for client gifting, we were delighted that GEORGE & EDI were thrilled to come on board.

In December, VidaSpace hosted a special commemorative event in the Auckland showroom, celebrating the phenomenal milestone of 40 years of Cuthbert Interiors.

Wood Veneer is produced by slicing a log in thin layers with a blade. In contrast to solid wood, which is sawn, veneer makes optimal use of the log without any sawing loss.Cutting a log can be done in various ways. Each way produces a different pattern, and can be cut to various thicknesses. The standard thickness is 0.6 mm. Most frequently used wood types are also available as a thick veneer.

In September Maxime De Scheemaeker visited us from our valued European brand partner Decospan in Belgium. Decospan are the world-leaders in timber veneers, specialising in innovative veneer products.

We are very excited to be involved on this project and have been working with Alex and Corban from A&C Homestore and formally known as the winners of The Block NZ 2014. Over recent months we have collaborated with them at our Parnell showroom to finalise a beautiful timber floor and we will update you more on Part 2 with the selection and how the project has progressed. Wood floors extending into the kitchen from throughout the rest of the house is an excellent way to create a seamless design and is a growing trend, but unless you understand and accept the limitations of a wood floor in a kitchen environment, it is best to use a different complimenting material such as stone or tile.

Making appearances in newly constructed or renovated buildings everywhere from a modern office to a retail shop and a luxury home, reclaimed wood flooring & cladding might accurately be called one of the hottest trends in building design and renovation except for one point: The popularity of this environmentally conscious flooring choice is clearly here to stay.
